About Therapy

Professional therapy is a safe, confidential collaboration to promote wellbeing and resolve concerns. Outcomes vary as we are all unique individuals. While I cannot guarantee specific results, I am committed to best practice in exploring your concerns. Therapy may trigger various feelings—please inform me if this occurs. To maximize benefits: attend sessions regularly, share openly, complete agreed tasks, and ask for clarification when needed.

My Professional Background

I hold a Master of Gestalt Therapy, Diploma of Teaching, Certificate in Holistic Counselling, and have completed the official IFS Level 1 training and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 1 training. I'm a PACFA Certified Practising Counsellor (Reg. 31720), adhering to PACFA's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. My approach is relational, grounded, and experiential—warm, respectful, and collaborative.

Gestalt Therapy: An experiential approach emphasizing present-moment awareness, exploring thoughts, emotions, and sensations as they arise now.

Internal Family Systems (IFS): Works with different parts of ourselves, fostering compassionate inner relationships guided by the Self.

I receive de-identified clinical supervision. Clear boundaries support our work—we meet during scheduled sessions only, with no social media contact.

Session Recording & AI-Assisted Notes (optional)

Recording sessions and using AI tools to help me write session notes is optional and covered by a separate Session Recording & AI Consent form, which you will be offered after this one. It explains what is recorded, where it goes, its limitations and your rights. Nothing is recorded unless you agree to that form, and you can decline, skip any session, or withdraw at any time without any effect on your therapy. Signing this form does not consent to recording.

Online Sessions

Online sessions are provided on the basis that we both:

Your Participation

In our first session, we'll get to know each other, explore what brings you here, and co-create a treatment plan including session frequency and focus. I welcome clients of all gender identities and expressions, and neurodivergent clients. I aim to create a space free from assumptions where you feel met as you are.

Concerns & Complaints

If something in our work concerns you, I would like to hear about it and will try to resolve it with you directly. You are also free, at any time and without speaking to me first, to raise a concern with PACFA under its Professional Conduct Procedures (ethics@pacfa.org.au, pacfa.org.au) or with the Queensland Office of the Health Ombudsman (133 OHO / 133 646, oho.qld.gov.au).

I don't provide crisis services. In emergencies contact: Lifeline 13 11 14 | Mental Health Crisis Line 1300 642 255 | Your doctor/hospital emergency
